Capacity building workshops in South Etobicoke

Tenant’s Rights

The first workshop is on Tenant’s rights in partnership with The South Etobicoke Legal Services (SELS). The SELS lawyer and a LAMP housing specialist will explain renter’s rights and obligations, rent increases, eviction prevention, and share community resources.

There will also be a Q and A at the end. The Tenant’s Right’s Workshop will be held twice, once in the evening of Thursday February 17th, at 7:00 – 8:30, and the second will be held on the morning of February 24th, at 11:00 – 12:30. Here is the link to register: https://bit.ly/33CKeG3

How to Apply for Rent Geared to Income (RGI)

The third workshop is on How to Apply for Rent Geared to Income (RGI). Attendees will learn about the process of getting on the RGI list, staying on it, and other housing supports available through the City of Toronto. We hope to discuss portable housing subsidies as well. The Rent Geared to Income workshop will be held  on Tuesday  February 22ed at 11:00 AM on Zoom.
